Case Study : Long Beach Marriott

The Long Beach Marriott is a marquee property within the chain and serves as a central hub to all the best in Southern California.  An18-hole golf course an expanded fitness center, two pools, four unique dining venues, and beyond have all received recent renovation and refreshment helping to once again define this property among the elite within the region.

Project Summary

Long Beach Marriott Hotel underwent an extensive renovation project that included public space, meeting and common area redesigns that provide their guest with an updated travel & leisure.  Included in the renovation was a substantial reinvention of the fitness amenity that included new flooring, wall treatments, mirrors, cabinetry, accessories, ceilings and lighting.  Decorative glass walls now allow views of the two beautiful pools as a backdrop for guests while working out on the treadmills and elliptical trainers.  Marriott turned to Advantage Fitness Products to provide extensive consultation from start to finish for this extraordinary facility.

Results

AFP worked with the Long Beach project team including the company’s executive staff, and contractors to ensure all Marriott requirements were followed, while standard building codes and electrical needs were met.  The AFP effort was headed by Wil Morrise, Channel Director, who overlooked planning, design and development recommendations and continues to support the ongoing operational assistance for the facility via the administration of the FitnessFacility.com platform. AFP assisted in providing a Preventative Maintenance agreement for the facility and extensive general safety training for all staff helping to ensure proper working equipment for all the heavy anticipated guest use.
