Case Study : Home Gym - Brentwood

Residence of a successful entertainment industry executive intent on creating a comprehensive home gym for all of his family to utilize.  Equipment quality, layout,  and functionality were the most important considerations.  Much of the family spends their mornings in the gym, religiously, without fail. Creating a family culture of fitness and wellness was their goal. The gym required design that would accommodate use by the entire family, often exercising at the same time.

This installation converted an existing guest house on the property into a full-scale fitness center complete with cardio and strength machines, free weights and a full range of accessories. The guest house itself provided a uniquely-impressive “canvas” for AFP to work with, even prior to being populated by the exercise equipment. The stunning space featured immaculate hardwood floors and an impressive A-frame ceiling design. The room offered several existing features that AFP was able to incorporate into the layout and functionality of the fitness room. Built-in bookcases were utilized to house an array of AFP accessories, and a beautiful armoire, housing a 50-inch flat screen television, was integrated as the center piece of an entertainment amenity with Cardio Theater and surround sound.

In terms of the equipment, AFP utilized the industry’s finest from Precor, including the company’s popular AMT (Adaptive Motion Trainer) which allows for user-defined motion. The Precor cardio machines were complimented by a balanced circuit of cable-based strength machines, which also allow for user-defined range-of-motion and optimal results. The results of this installation speak for themselves in these gorgeous images, and the client was extremely satisfied with the end result.
