Advantage Fitness Products, New Sponsor for UCLA Athletes
The Athletic Performance Sports Training Facility at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), has recently revamped their facility with the help of a sponsorship from Advantage Fitness Products (AFP). The 15,000 square foot fitness center has doubled in size and is now equipped to support its 850 plus student athletes.
Chris Camacho, Manager of Professional Services for AFP worked closely with E.J. "Doc" Kreis to develop a facility that maximizes all the physical components of competition. Kreis was hired by UCLA in 2003 and is a two-time strength and conditioning Coach of the Year. Kreis stated, "It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that the University of California, Los Angeles recognizes Advantage Fitness Products as an official sponsor of UCLA athletics."

AFP has provided various strength and conditioning equipment as well as its proprietary ADVANTAGE line of commercial fitness tools used to improve alignment, stability and flexibility. "By providing UCLA's Strength and Conditioning Program the most innovative and effective training equipment available, we can expect our student athletes to be fully prepared both mentally and physically", Kreis added.

AFP has equipped the UCLA strength and conditioning facility with several top of the line cycles.
Additionally, AFP and the UCLA Athletic Department have created the Athlete of the Month Award, honoring a student athlete who has proven excellence in academics and athletic skill. Those honored are pictured in the Sports Training Facility.
Camacho, who has worked in the strength and conditioning field since 1991 said, "Through our partnership with UCLA, AFP offers student athletes the training tools needed to compete at the highest level of collegiate sports."
One of the recent recipients of the award is Maurice Drew, running back for the undefeated Bruins' football team. AFP and the UCLA Athletic Department share a common goal—to facilitate a continued commitment to health and fitness. AFP is proud to be associated with the prestige of UCLA athletics and supports the continued accomplishments of their student athletes.
