AFP provides the expertise to make fitness a valuable and profitable business for its clients. Some of our milestones include:
2009
The Northeast region continues to grow for AFP with the addition of a distribution hub in Northern NJ, and service centers in both NJ and Long Island, NY. AFP officially launches its FitnessFacility.com platform, the industry’s first comprehensive online management system for the operational support of the fitness amenity.
2008
AFP continues its growth beyond New York on the eastern seaboard announcing expansion into the state of Florida with Distribution and Service centers located in Miami and Orlando. Highlighted by the corporate HQ’s of world leading cruise lines and the most resort properties in any US state, the expansion will support AFP’s growing business demand in this important national business hub. In partnership with the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, AFP establishes sales offices on property along with its Commercial Design Center & Showroom.
2007
AFP launches DESIGN3, a proprietary, state-of-the-art fitness facility design process. DESIGN3 provides clients with a visual road map to success in fitness facility development and a previously unavailable level of pre-construction refinement.
2006
AFP celebrates its 10-year anniversary by partnering with its 15,000th client. AFP’s work can be viewed in leading Hotels, Resorts, Cruise Lines, Corporations, Universities, and facilities of all types around the world. The company re-launches its industry leading website, http://www.AFProducts.com, with an upgraded design and increased functionality.
2005
AFP launches the travelTRAINER™ brand of consumer fitness products and accessories. The travelTRAINER product line is the first premium line of fitness products designed specifically for travelers and individuals on the go. This same year, AFP is named PRECOR USA’s Largest Commercial Distributor for the fourth consecutive year.
2004
Based on its rapid growth and unparalleled expertise, AFP grows its territorial exclusive relationship with Precor USA, the industry’s leading manufacturer of premium commercial exercise equipment. Following its successful expansion throughout the Western United States, AFP expands to the East Coast opening offices in New York City.
2003
After building a successful full-scale consultancy and supply firm, AFP returns to the business of product development and manufacturing, launching its Advantage Line of Dual Station strength-training units and a complimentary accessory line.
2002
AFP expands into Nevada establishing offices in both Las Vegas and Reno with an emphasis on the significant resort/hotel markets within these Nevada tourism hubs. The company also opens its fourth distribution center in Las Vegas. AFP is named PRECOR USA’s Largest Commercial Distributor.
2001
AFP’s expansion begins to move East, establishing offices in Phoenix and a third distribution center in Tempe, Arizona. The company also acquires the commercial division assets of industry leader Fun N’ Fitness.
2000
AFP’s expansion continues as the company acquires the Commercial Division assets of Busybody, Inc.‘s Fit-Tech Fitness. The company also establishes a second distribution center, located in Northern California.
1998
AFP’s consulting and supply services bring success and rapid expansion throughout Southern California. Corporate headquarters relocate to Santa Monica, Calif. AFP begins partnering with architectural development firms, providing expertise at the onset of full-scale projects, including hotels, resorts and multi-dwelling communities throughout the United States and internationally.
1997
AFP begins the critical transition away from product manufacturing and into strategic consulting, supply and service. AFP Founder & current CEO, Bryan Green, identifies a significant void in the fitness industry’s support, related to the growing number of non-member-based fitness facilities. The unique requirements of these various markets were in significant need of expertise in conceptualizing, designing, and servicing these non-traditional fitness environments. AFP refocuses on becoming the industry-leading resource to meet this demand.
1996
After five years of participating in the development of both the commercial and retail business of then the Nation’s largest fitness equipment retail chain Busybody, Bryan Green established Advantage Fitness Products with headquarters in Woodland Hills, CA. AFP’s original focus was on product development—primarily the manufacturing of practical fitness accessories, including the first protective covers tailored to fit leading treadmill brands.
Case Studies:
The newly completed Club Espiritu is the third and largest project that Del Mar Development has designed with AFP in Los Cabos, Mexico. The design direction and equipment recommendations by the AFP team were an essential factor in our program development. The 10,000 sf Club is a standing tribute to AFP’s commitment to quality products and customer satisfaction. Our members simply love it.
