UNLV Chooses AFP to Supply and Service New Student Recreation Facility

May 30, 2007 – Today, Advantage Fitness Products announced its selection by University of Nevada, Las Vegas to supply, and provide ongoing service for all exercise equipment and accessories for the University’s new Student Recreation and Wellness Center, scheduled to open in August.

The new 180,000-plus square-foot facility represents a significant upgrade to the University’s previous facility, nearly tripling the amount of space for recreation, fitness and wellness.

“We’re truly excited about this award of business and proud to be working on behalf of UNLV, a University with such a strong commitment to student recreation and wellness.” said Bryan Green, President and CEO of AFP. “Our involvement with UNLV provides an excellent representation of our ability to service such a prestigious client.”

“We are very excited to continue our relationship with AFP and look forward to the new building,” said Yvette Kell, Assistant Director of Facilities and Acquatics for UNLV.

To accommodate the needs of the facility and its significant audience of students and the campus community, AFP will supply the latest equipment and exercise technology from industry-leading manufacturer Precor as well as a host of complimentary products.  The facility will feature the popular Precor “Experience” line of cardio-vascular equipment, much of which will feature personal-viewing screens and audio systems to enhance and maximize the overall training experience. AFP will also provide a full lineup of Precor and Paramount strength equipment as well as a wide variety of accessories for various training applications.

The UNLV project is the latest in a lineup of on-campus projects that AFP has successfully completed recently for leading University’s such as the UCLA Athletic Training Center, Arizona State University, and USC’s Lyons Center student recreation facility.
