A growing number of spa-goers no longer want only pampering and relaxation, they want to change their lifestyles - a trend driving many spas to offer exercise programming, as well as nutritional advice and life-coaching, alongside traditional spa treatments. In response to this demand, a new kind of gym design is emerging within spas - one which takes a more naturalistic approach and creates a calm environment conducive to a softer, more mindful form of exercise than that inspired by health club gyms.
