AFP Brings Cost Saving Solutions and Enhancements to Las Vegas Country Club’s Fitness Facility

AFP Revitalizes Fitness Equipment To Bring State-of-the-Art, Five-Star Fitness Facility to Dragon Ridge Club Members

LAS VEGAS – Sept 2, 2009 – Advantage Fitness Products (AFP), the leading provider of fitness facility consultation, design, supply, and service, recently completed a successful project on behalf of DragonRidge Country Club in Las Vegas, NV. The extensive renovation saw AFP deliver significant cost-effective solutions and upgrades to the rejuvenated center.

Prior to AFP’s efforts, DragonRidge’s fitness centers had been simplistic, with little emphasis on the nuances of functional fitness design, spatial planning and relevant equipment selection. New cardiovascular equipment with entertainment integration was the priority.  While intent on a comprehensive upgrade, the facility’s existing strength equipment was still operating efficiently and due to budgetary constraints DragonRidge executives selected AFP’s proprietary REFRESH™ program rather than replace it. Therefore, a challenge resided in blending the existing equipment with the new premier cardio units that AFP would supply to ensure that the entire facility maintained a premium quality look and appeal.

Led by Director of Commercial Sales Rob Newkirk, AFP provided a lineup of new free weight and cardio machines from Precor. In addition, AFP focused on core and stretching accessories, new dumbbells, and resistance tubing for a more balanced exercise offering than previously available. To overcome the challenge presented by the existing equipment, AFP utilized very practical and affordable alternatives that often go overlooked. 

“We call it REFRESH,™” said Newkirk. “The program comprises simple but thoroughly executed measures such as new shrouds, upholstery, de-greasing, and touch-up paint that are fundamental to enhancing existing equipment. In the end, the facility now blends seamlessly together and we are very proud of the results.” 

For the finishing touch, AFP focused on hygiene-friendly measures, including proper fitness flooring designed to minimize pathogens, new equipment mats, and disinfectant handy wipe dispensers.

DragonRidge has also executed a commitment to a preventative maintenance agreement to help enhance the appearance and useful life of the facility’s equipment.  AFP certified technicians will now be responsible for equipment upkeep and reduction of down time.

The Las Vegas DragonRidge Project is the latest in a lineup of private club installations across the country that AFP has successfully completed including Anthem Country Club, Sherwood CC, Oakmont CC, Dessert Highlands CC, El Caballero CC, Ironwood CC, Tahoe Mountain Club and Red Rock Country Club.
